Background
The objectives of The Japan Petrochemical Industry Association (JPCA) are to promote the mutual friendship and cooperation among members, and contribute to the steady and continuous growth of the petrochemical industry, and then to the development of Japan's national economy as a whole, through statistical surveys, information research, presentation and recommendation of opinions, and public relations activities. Founded in June, 1958, the Association now has the membership of 31.

Members of the association are companies who produce petrochemicals in Japan.
